Independent expert evidence from a suitably qualified forensic accountant can help transform the case for individuals or businesses engaged in litigation or facing criminal charges.
The confiscation of criminal assets under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (“the Act”) is a powerful deterrent which helps to ensure that crime does not pay. A defendant’s criminal benefit relates to the total property or pecuniary advantage obtained, not the net profit after the deduction of expenses. This means that offenders often have more to fear from confiscation proceedings than from imprisonment as they and their families could lose all that they own.
We have helped in hundreds of cases involving personal injury, clinical negligence and fatal accidents involving claimants from a vast range of backgrounds and careers.
Commercial disputes are an unavoidable part of business life that should be dealt with quickly and efficiently to minimise disruption to the parties concerned. An independent expert review of quantum can help to resolve disputes without resorting to litigation.
